New Co-location Suite, Bradford

Legend have over 5 years experience of providing secure server co-location at our 2 co-location suites in Bradford, and one in Telehouse, London. With over 3000 sq feet of co-location already in use and full, we are proud to announce the opening of a 4th co-location suite in Bradford. The suite is over 2000 sq feet in size, and is capable of housing over 64 * 40U server cabinets.

Situated below ground floor level, the suite offers superb security, with no immediate external access and a fully electronic access control system.

The suite takes advantage of the very latest server technology. Modern servers get smaller and smaller - most are now 1U (1.75") in height and we expect some customers to locate up to 30 servers in a single rack !

In order to cope with the masssive amount of heat generated by the potential 1900 servers located in this new room, we have installed two massive Stulze air conditioning units, built to our own specifications in Germany.

Mains power is provided by the very latest APC Silcon UPS system, providing ample power backup should the mains system ever fail. This system also guarantees a regulated power supply with no 'spikes' that could damage sensitive computer equipment.

The room is equippped with the very latest secure server enclosure units with fully vented doors front and rear. These give approx 64% open area - offering very high airflow characteristics to help with cooling. Four roof mounted fans in each rack ensure excellent air circulation.

Over 20 power distribution units are available in each rack, complete with digital power meter.

The new site has a fully redundant Gigabit backbone provided by Cisco switches and routers, with 24/7 monitoring of all key equipment.

Legend can provide fully managed solutions or rack space for those customers requiring dedicated solutions.
